Rane Serato Scratch Live
Keeping up with advances in technology in the DJ arena, DJ KenFused utilizes a "Digital Vinyl/CD music system" - Rane Serato Scratch Live, the premiere hardware/software DJ tool - sure to amaze audiences just by itself. The system has as its core an interface that allows communication between a laptop computer and a pair of traditional turntables or CD turntables. The music stored on the computer's hard drive is played via "time-coded" vinyl records or CD's - you'll swear that it's the actual record/CD playing! DJ KenFused is by no means a so-called "Laptop DJ", playing directly from computer to sound system; with this technology, the DJ's hands and ears still have to do the same amount of work necessary to cue, cut and mix as DJ's have done for decades. The computer simply acts as the source in which the music is stored and from which it is accessed. What KenFused has found most amusing is the amount of double-takes and unique gazes he gets from partygoers when they get a glance at this amazing system! (Note: KenFused can still rock a crowd in traditional, true-school vinyl mode as well, if preferred...yes, those DJ purists are out there, and yes, record companies still do make vinyl records!)

Sound System
Again, staying abreast of recent technological advancements in the music industry, DJ KenFused uses a JBL "Powered" Sound System, which means that the speakers have a built-in power amplifier. Although the system is compact, the sound is incredibly clean and powerful. For bigger venues, one or two powered JBL 18" Subwoofers are added for increased punch.

Lighting
A professional lighting system is employed for most parties where dancing is involved. KenFused's ensures that the lighting equipment brought to the venue is appropriate and not irritating to the guests. But if the clients wants that nightclub type of atmosphere, KenFused can surely deliver that as well.
